・トライアル雇用(trial employmennt)

・試行就業ともいう。いったん有期雇用の形で雇い入れ、労使の意思が合致すれば本採用とする（期間の定めない雇用に切り替える）仕組みのこと。厚生労働省が障害者や中高年齢者の雇用を促進するため試験的に導入（トライアル雇用期間中・（原則３ヶ月間）の賃金を一部補填）。その７割～８割が本採用に移行するなど良好な結果が得られたことから現在では若干層に対しても、雇用失業対策の一環として同様の制度が導入され、商工会議所などにも、類似の制度を事業化するものが見られる。トライアル雇用の期間、一種の試用期間として機能しており、民間で行われている常用目的紹介（紹介先での常用雇用を目的とした有期雇用の紹介や紹介派遣）ともその意味で共通点が見られる。
